     Arez, led by Constantin Schmidt formerly of Flint Group, is a company founded by a group of experienced professionals from the ink resin and varnish industry. Rolf Slaghek, formerly Sales and Marketing Manager, Inks and Coatings Business Unit Europe for Arizona Chemical, is COO and responsible for sales and marketing in Europe, Mid-East, Africa, and Pacific Region. David Dawood formerly Director of Manufacturing for Lawter is VP of International Operations. Dirk Van Heddegem also formerly of Lawter is VP of Technology. John Smith, former VP of sales and Marketing of AKZO Resins and owner of Amsurco, Inc., is VP of the Americas.
The company has built a 35,000 ton capacity resin manufacturing facility in the rosin rich Guangdong Province of China. Using the industry-wide experience of the management team and employing a staff of more than 25 chemists, Arez has developed in a short time frame from a supplier of standard resins to a leader in resin technology.

Arez has formed a joint research team with Tianjin Institute of Technology and installed a state of the art ink testing laboratory. Coupled with Tianjin world class analytical capabilities, this team works on the forefront of polymer development for the ink industry.
